Gigi Conway

PRE-LICENSED COUNSELING INTERN

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Gigi is a graduate student intern pursuing a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. In addition to her master’s degree, she is completing Postgraduate Certificates in Trauma-Informed Care through the Trauma Response Institute and in Play Therapy through the Northwest Center for Play Therapy Studies at George Fox University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montana State University in 2023. Her coursework has focused on trauma-informed practice, systemic and individual issues, and multicultural counseling, and she continues to expand her knowledge to best support her clients. Over the past four years, she has worked with survivors of interpersonal violence, children and families in the foster care system, and individuals struggling with substance abuse. Her counseling approach is rooted in a client-centered perspective and informed by evidence-based, attachment-focused, and emotion-focused practices. She prioritizes creating a space where clients feel supported, encouraged, and empowered—a place to grow, process emotions, celebrate progress, and navigate challenges. She considers it a privilege to accompany clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
